Uyen represents clients in business transactions and complex civil litigation. In more than 20 years of practice, she has developed expertise in contract disputes, outdoor advertising, commercial litigation, employment claims, product liability, construction, unfair competition, premises liability, toxic torts, and professional liability. An accomplished trial attorney, Uyen represented a government agency in a nine-week jury trial in Santa Barbara in a complex mold exposure and asbestos case, with the jury returning an across-the-board defense verdict in her client’s favor.
Prior to joining Heath Steinbeck as counsel, Uyen spent eight years at the Los Angeles office of a national litigation firm where she focused on business and commercial disputes, and advised individuals, corporations, and insurance companies on litigation strategy. She also worked as a litigator in Nevada, representing real estate developers in commercial and construction matters.
Uyen received her B.A. in Psychology from UCLA and her J.D. from Loyola Law School. She is admitted to practice in California and Nevada, and speaks Vietnamese fluently.
