Uyen represents clients in business transactions and complex civil litigation. In almost 20 years of practice, she has developed considerable expertise in contract disputes, commercial litigation, employment and labor claims, product liability, construction, unfair competition, premises liability, toxic torts, and professional liability. An accomplished trial attorney, Uyen recently represented a government agency in a nine-week jury trial in Santa Barbara in a complex mold exposure and asbestos case, with the jury returning an across-the-board defense verdict in her client’s favor.
Prior to joining Heath Steinbeck as counsel, Uyen spent eight years at the Los Angeles office of a national litigation firm where she focused on business and commercial disputes, and advised individual, corporations, and insurance companies on litigation strategy. Earlier in her career, she worked as a litigator in Nevada, representing real estate developers in commercial and construction matters.
